With support from Google Arts & Culture, visitors can embark on a journey to discover the real-world inspirations behind mythical and fictional beasts.
The adventure continues beyond the museum walls, as a special BBC documentary dedicated to the exhibition is set to premiere in the coming year. The highly awaited showcase experienced postponement from its original summer launch owing to COVID-19 restrictions, yet visitors can now explore it as admission passes become available for purchase through the official platform.
Displaying an impressive collection of 120 specimens, the presentation ranges from an actual prehistoric reptile bearing the Hogwarts-inspired name dracorex hogwartsia to beloved magical creatures from the wizarding world, including the treasure-seeking nifflers and the tree-dwelling bowtruckles.
Embark on a journey mirroring that of the legendary fictional creature expert Newt Scamander, alongside genuine historical adventurers and the dedicated research professionals and collection specialists from the institution. This immersive experience invites guests to traverse untamed territories while uncovering fascinating details about some of the most remarkable beings to have ever existed on our planet.
